Bio

Jana Bonds took over as volleyball coach at Dallas College Mountain View in 2014.

Bonds has an overall record of 111-203 at Mountain View.

In 2024, the Lions went 8-24 with a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District quarterfinals

Bonds coached Mountain View to a 12-19 finish in 2023, which culminated in the South District quarterfinals. She collected her 100th career victory in a 3-0 sweep of Dallas College Cedar Valley Oct. 16, 2023.

In 2022, the Lions went 13-21 overall, 5-5 in the Dallas Athletic Conference. The Lions advanced to the NJCAA Division III Southwest District semifinals. Mountain View swept Dallas College Eastfield in the quarterfinals.

In 2021, Bonds guided the Lions to an 18-13 overall, 7-3 DAC record. Mountain View won the DAC regular season title, and advanced to the district championship that season. Bonds was named the DAC Coach of the Year. Destiny Velasquez was the DAC Blocker of the Year, while Sidney Alvarez was the league's Setter of the Year. They joined Maleeka Wilson and Cami Chesler as First Team All-DAC selections.

In her second year with the program, Mountain View went 15-15 overall, which included an 8-5 record at home. 

In her first year with the program in 2014, Mountain View went 5-12. The Lions won four more matches than they had the previous three years combined.
