Bio

Albert Herrera was named assistant coach of Dallas College Mountain View women's soccer team in 2022.

Herrera was part of a staff that steered the Lions to a 6-6-2 overall, 4-5-1 Dallas Athletic Conference season in 2025. The Lions finished third in the DAC, and advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District semifinals before falling to eventual national runner-up Dallas College Brookhaven. Stephanie Arreola and Josselin Magana, the DAC Newcomer of the Year, were first team all-conference selections. Mia Serrato was a Second Team All-DAC pick. Arreola received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition.

In 2024, two Lions earned All-DAC honors. Serrato was a First Team All-DAC selection. Laila Limones was a Second Team All-DAC selection.

In 2023, Mountain View beat Arlington Baptist University 4-1 to end the regular season. The Lions battled to three ties, including back-to-back draws against National Park College and Dallas College North Lake. They had a second draw against National Park later in the season. Angelique Garfias was a First Team All-DAC choice. Nayomy Cueva and Kayla Sotelo earned Second Team All-DAC honors.

In his first year with the program, Herrera coached on a staff that guided the team to a 6-7-1 overall, 5-4-1 DAC record. Mountain View advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Mid-South District semifinals after beating North Lake 2-1 in overtime in the quarterfinals. Kristin Martinez and Dunia Chavez earned First Team All-DAC honors. Mariah Hernandez and Klarissa Vielma were Second Team All-DAC selections.
