Magana Named DAC Newcomer of Year

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View's Josselin Magana was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Newcomer of the Year.

Magana joined Stephanie Arreola as First Team All-DAC choices. Mia Serrato was a Second Team All-DAC pick.

Magana, a freshman midfielder, scored nine goals and had three assists for 21 points. She had three gamewinning goals. Her nine goals were tied for the most in the DAC.

Arreola, a sophomore midfielder, scored seven goals and had three assists for 17 points. She had two multi-goal games, including a hat trick against Dallas College Eastfield in the South District quarterfinals.

Serrato, a sophomore midfielder, had a goal and two assists. She scored a goal and had an assist against Eastfield.
