Mountain View Men's Soccer Releases Schedule
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View men's soccer team will open the season Aug. 21 at Lamar (Colorado) College. The Lions will finish the season-opening weekend with a second road game at Seward Community College in Liberal, Kansas.
The Lions, under head coach Jesse Siragusa, will make its home debut three days later against Western Texas College to begin a four-game homestand. Mountain View, which advanced to the South District championship game last year, will host Connors State College Aug. 26 and Austin College Aug. 28 in a power-packed home week. The Lions finish the homestand against Holmes Community College Sept. 4.
With nine home games, the Lions host Hill College and Ranger College Sept. 15 and Sept. 25, respectively. Mountain View has other nonconference games in the first full month at Murray State College and Eastern Oklahoma State College in Oklahoma.
The Lions will begin the four-game Dallas Athletic Conference season at home against Dallas College Cedar Valley Sept. 23. They finish the first round of league play at reigning national runner-up Dallas College Richland Sept. 30.
Mountain View will play three of its final five regular season games on the road in October. With trips to Hill College and Ranger College planned for Oct. 6 and Oct. 16, respectively, the Lions also host Richland and Southwestern Christian College Oct. 14 and Oct. 20 in the final home games. The regular season finale is set for Oct. 21 at Cedar Valley before the district tournament, which will be held at the site of the DAC regular season champion.
