Lions Collect 9 All-DAC Honors
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View's Joely Garcia was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year.
Garcia joined Ramon Guardado, Blake Galvez and Samuel Bernardion as First Team All-DAC selections.
Josue Moreno, Nathaniel Velasquez, Christopher Perez and Christopher Galindo were voted Second Team All-DAC.
A freshman midfielder, Garcia had a goal and five assists. His gamewinning goal came in a 3-1 victory over Dallas College Cedar Valley.
A freshman forward, Guardado tied for the DAC lead with nine goals and had one assist. He had two gamewinning goals.
A freshman forward, Galvez had five goals. He scored two gamewinning goals.
A sophomore defender/midfielder from Dallas, Bernardion helped the Lions post six shutouts.
A freshman forward, Moreno had two goals and two assists. He scored both of his goals against East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity.
A sophomore forward, Velasquez shared the DAC lead with nine goals, and had seven assists for a team-high 25 points.
A sophomore midfielder, Perez scored one goal. He found the back of the net in a 7-0 win over Southwestern Christian College.
A sophomore midfielder, Galindo had two goals and one assist. He had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win at Hesston College.
