Mountain View Lions begin their NBA 2K Season in the NJCAAE

The Eagles are represented by Dallas College Brookhaven's Aahil Ajani as the player who competes in NBA 2K's 1v1 mode which uses real NBA teams. 

Each player controls all players on the respective team that they choose to compete with. 

 

Each game is 5 minutes each quarter, the difficulty is played on all-star level, and to make things more interesting Generation Esports has a ban rule in place that gives players must abide by. The home team gets to ban 1 team of Its choice first, and the away team gets to ban 1 team of Its choice. This step is repeated one more time, then the home team gets to pick Its team to compete with, followed by the away team choosing its team.

 

In our week one NJCAAE NBA 2K match-up the Mountain View Lions Aahil Ajani (HyperCrazeTTV) faced the Gogebic Samsons Dorlondo K, Aahil was the home team and he chose to ban the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76'ers. Dorlondo banned the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors. Aahil chose the Phoenix Suns in game one of this best of 3 match, while Dorlondo chose the Utah Jazz.

 

This first game was close throughout, but it was Dorlondo who maintained the lead until the fourth quarter when Aahil and his Phoenix Suns tied the game at 61-61 late in the fourth quarter, but unfortunately for Aahil and the Mountain View Lions that lead didn't last long because on the very next possession Dorlondo and the Gogebic Samsons took the lead and went on to win game one in this best of 3 match.

 

In game 2 it was Dorlondo and the Samsons who were home which means Dorlondo had home and first shot at banning the team of choice which was again the Milwaukee Bucks.

Aahil countered with the Los Angeles Lakers again. Dorlondo chose the Phoenix Suns with the second ban and Aahil chose to ban the Utah Jazz. Dorlondo chose the Philadelphia 76'ers in game 2 and Aahil chose the Miami Heat.

 

In game 2 there were multiple lead changes throughout the game, but it was in the fourth quarter when Dorlondo took the lead and never relinquished it giving Dorlondo and the Gogebic Samsons to 2-0 sweep to start their season off 1-0 while Mountain View starts their first campaign 0-1.

 

The Mountain View Lions will look to bounce back this Friday at 6 pm CST as they take on Catawba Valley in this week 2 match-up
